Hi, my name is Bella-

As you can see, I'm Italian. My wishes are short and detailed. I will lay them out for you later in my story... I have been in rescue now for over 5 years, and finally now I am ready to find my forever home. When I came into Starlight Stepping Stones cat rescue, I did not like other cats, I would bite you if you were too rough with me, only because my prior owner DECLAWED my paws, what a rip off that was. They said "it would not hurt me" or "scar me for life" and they lied. I heard that in some cities it is illegal to de-claw a cat... if that is so, I have been double ripped off, literally, ripped off. Anyway, the people here at Starlight Stepping Stones have worked with me, shown me love that I have never seen before, and taught me how to play with others. I am pretty stubborn, being Italian and all. Now, I don't bite and I know how to play nice with others, even dogs. Even though dogs are stinky and belong sleeping with fishes, I don't mind them any more.

While I have been here at Starlight Stepping Stones, I have seen a lot. It was a shock to see just how many unwanted cats and kittens are in the world and I was surprised to see that many cat owners did not take the time to spay and neuter their pets? Why would you not spay and neuter your pet? My good friends and I would stay up late at night discussing this issue and we still, to this day, have not heard a good reason not to spay and neuter your pet. I also heard that many of us end up in the shelter and are put to sleep because there is no room for us.

I AM READY TO GO! I would like a place where you will love me, feed me, cuddle with me, brush me, buy me new beds to sleep in, and oh, by the way, I love to sit in your lap, anytime you sit down, I will jump up on your lap. If you want a strong, beautiful and wise woman, that would be me. I like my name and will come to you when you call me. You can change my name if you like, you will just need to give me time to get used to it.
